Ian Patton is a longtime political strategy and communications expert. He began working on campaigns as a teenager volunteering full-time during the summer of 1996 for the successful come-back campaign of now-retired California state senator and assembly member Betty Karnette. After graduating from UC Berkeley with a degree in history and working in the legal industry he joined the Iowa presidential campaign for former U.S. House of Representatives Majority Leader Dick Gephardt. He went on to become a senior staffer for the late Congresswoman Juanita Millender-McDonald in the Southern California District Office. Following her passing in 2007 he began consulting independently, and occasionally partnering with Adouki & Associates, for municipal and state legislative campaigns.
He is also a highly active, longstanding volunteer and board member with the Historical Society of Long Beach.
